More Voters Say "Yes" to 3A!

Voters in Duxbury and Milton (yes, Milton!) approved their town's 3A compliance plans by wide margins this week. Both towns had spent considerable sums of taxpayer money on losing lawsuits against the state, and both towns had to hold special town meetings to vote again.

Duxbury approved their plan with a 63% "Yes" vote, while Milton won the vote "Yes" with 69%. Read the full stories in the Duxbury Clipper and the Boston Globe.

In the Globe article, a Milton official is quoted as saying "Tonight’s decision by Milton Town Meeting to advance a compliant plan is a strong signal that we are prepared to put the rancor of the past behind us and become a part of the solution to the housing crisis." Let's hope that Marblehead can soon say the same thing!

Vote "Yes" on July 8! (Or vote early on June 30 or July 1.)
