3A Wins in Court...Again!

A Massachusetts Superior Court judge dismissed the lawsuits filed by towns which claimed that the law was an "unfunded mandate." As the MHC has said repeatedly, these lawsuits were pointless and a waste of taxpayer money. We are grateful that our Select Board had the wisdom to stay out of them, despite the urging of our opponents.

It is even more clear now that the "No" side doesn't have a plan. Defying the law indefinitely is not an option. Let's vote "Yes" (again) on Marblehead's reasonable, moderate plan on July 8th, and move on.
